01 What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They serve a range of purposes — from keeping you signed in, to helping website owners understand how visitors use their site, to enabling certain personalisation features.
Cookies are not programs and cannot execute code or deliver viruses. They simply store small pieces of information that the website can read when you return. Most modern browsers accept cookies by default, though you can adjust this at any time.
02 How We Use Cookies
The Kava Studio website uses a small number of cookies to keep the site functional and to understand how visitors interact with it. We do not use advertising networks or cross-site tracking tools. The categories we use are described below.
| Category | Purpose | Examples | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | Required for basic site operation — navigation, form submissions, and security. | Session ID, CSRF token | Session or up to 1 year |
| Analytics | Helps us understand which pages are visited and how the site is used, so we can improve it. No personally identifiable data is shared. | Google Analytics (_ga, _gid) | Up to 2 years |
| Marketing | Used to understand the effectiveness of advertising campaigns, where applicable. May enable retargeting features. | Facebook Pixel, Google Ads | Up to 90 days |
| Preferences | Remembers choices you have made — such as your cookie consent decision — so you are not prompted repeatedly. | cookieConsent (localStorage) | Up to 1 year |
03 Third-Party Services
Where enabled, certain third-party services may set their own cookies when you use our website. These include:
- Google Analytics — website traffic and behaviour analysis. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
- Facebook (Meta) Pixel — conversion tracking and audience insights. Governed by Meta's Data Policy.
- Google Maps — an embedded map on the contact section. Google may set cookies when this loads.
We do not control cookies placed by third-party services. You can review their respective privacy and cookie policies on their websites.
04 Your Cookie Preferences
You can manage your preferences below. Essential cookies cannot be disabled as they are required for the site to function. Changes take effect immediately and are saved to your browser.
