Bangsar South · Refined Interior Design
I appreciated that Siti didn't try to talk me into things I didn't need. We started with a clear brief and the final design felt like a version of what I'd described — just more considered and coherent than I could have arrived at on my own.

Damansara Heights · Clean Build Management
The renovation management saved me a lot of stress. Nurul kept track of everything, flagged issues before they became bigger problems, and communicated clearly throughout. I didn't have to be on site constantly, which was the main thing I needed.

Mont Kiara · Line Drawing Consultation
The consultation was honest and practical. The brief they produced gave me enough direction to have a productive conversation with my contractor — that's all I needed at that point. I'll likely come back for the full design service on my next place.

Petaling Jaya · Refined Interior Design
Working with Kava Studio on our home office was a calm experience. Arif was thorough with the spatial planning and the renders were genuinely close to what was built. There were no unexpected changes mid-project, which mattered a lot to us.

KLCC · Refined Interior Design
My apartment is a compact space and I was worried it would feel over-designed. Instead the result feels open and lived-in — nothing is forced. The material choices are holding up well six months on. Good value for what was delivered.

Subang Jaya · Clean Build Management
The build management service was exactly what we needed — we had a design from another firm and just needed someone trustworthy to manage the contractors. Nurul knew the process well, spotted things I wouldn't have noticed, and kept things moving without drama.

Three projects in detail
The situation
Bangsar apartment — Refined Interior Design
A two-bedroom apartment in Bangsar with a decent floor plan but no coherent design direction. The owners had moved in with a mix of furniture and wanted the space to feel like a considered home, not a furniture showroom.
What we did
We started by assessing what was worth keeping. The spatial layout was retained largely as-is — the issue was layering, not structure. We developed a restrained material palette around warm neutrals, replaced the light fittings, curated a smaller furniture edit, and created new storage zones that reduced visual clutter.
The result
The project was completed in 7 weeks. The owners retained most of their existing furniture and supplemented with four new pieces we sourced. The apartment now reads as a complete, settled space rather than a collection of unrelated items.
"It feels like our home now, not just the place we live." — Client
The situation
Petaling Jaya office — Clean Build Management
A small tech company relocating to a new 1,200 sq ft office. They had a design concept but no internal capacity to manage the fit-out, and had experienced a difficult renovation on a previous space.
What we did
We took over the contractor coordination from day one. A clear brief was established with the contractor before work started, and inspection checkpoints were scheduled at each stage. Three issues were caught early — a ceiling height discrepancy and two partition alignment problems — and resolved without affecting the overall timeline.
The result
The fit-out was completed in 10 weeks, within the agreed budget. The client moved in on schedule and noted that the handover was the smoothest they'd experienced after two previous office relocations.
"Having someone we trusted on site made a real difference." — Client
The situation
Chow Kit shophouse — Consultation
An owner had recently purchased a two-storey shophouse and was uncertain about the direction. They'd spoken to several contractors who each gave different advice. They needed one clear, independent view before committing to anything.
What we did
We visited the property and spent time understanding both the space and what the owner actually wanted from it — a home on the upper floor, a small studio or workspace below. The brief we produced outlined specific interventions, flagged structural considerations worth raising with an engineer, and gave a clear material direction for each floor.
The result
The client used the consultation document to brief a contractor independently and was able to avoid two additions the contractor had been recommending that weren't necessary. They came back to Kava Studio six months later for the full design service on the upper floor.
"The brief saved me from making expensive decisions I didn't need." — Client
